Message from the President
I would like to personally thank everyone who helped make the 2014 conference such a success. We had wonderful speakers, enjoyable short films, and innovative ideas to grow TCA. Please begin initiating the ideas to grow by reaching out to colleagues in your school and in other colleges and universities. Also, tell professionals in the industry about us so we can learn from each other at the 2015 conference. I hope that you will recruit students to propose papers, poster sessions, and to enter short films for the 2015 conference.
September 11 – 12, 2015, we will have our joint conference with the Kentucky Communication Association at Montgomery Bell State Park. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this event. Marci Nimick, our President-Elect, has already begun working with Kentucky to plan a meaningful and enjoyable 2015 conference! She will be announcing the theme, soon.
My goal for this year is that more people will become involved in this important organization. If you are not on the mailing list and would like to be, please send me your contact information. Also, please send me the names and email addresses of anyone who you think would like to know about TCA and the TCA conference.
Let’s continue with the strong momentum to grow throughout 2014 and into 2015. If you have any suggestions for me to make this a great year for TCA, feel free to contact me.
